About Us

VisionSaugeen Hospice will be a fully operational, community-based hospice residence, closer to home, that delivers exceptional end-of- life care for families across southern Grey and Bruce Counties and surrounding areas. Our long-term vision is a sustainable, integrated system of compassionate end-of-life care—one that aligns seamlessly with regional healthcare partners, reflects the values and strengths of our communities, and stands as a place of dignity, comfort, and belonging for every family we serve.

Our MissionIn partnership with our communities and the Ministry of Health, the Board's Mission is to plan, design, build and operate a 6-bed hospice residence that brings compassionate end of life care CLOSER TO HOME.

Our ValuesWe value human life and have great respect for the transition from life to death in a comfortable, dignified, natural environment for our residents and their families, without either hastening or slowing the transition.

Who We Are:

Saugeen Hospice is a not-for-profit community corporation that will be embarking on a new project and endeavour in south Grey and Bruce Counties.  Their plan is to build a 6 bed hospice in Eastridge Park (Walkerton), to serve the residents of South Bruce, Brockton, Arran-Elderslie, Hanover, West Grey, Minto and surrounding areas.

Once constructed, the hospice residence will be providing compassionate end-of-life care, at no cost, to those who need it most.

Saugeen Hospice is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, who represent the areas in which it serves.

Fundraising is one of the main priorities at this time as the organization endeavours to meet their fundraising goal and make the Saugeen Hospice a reality.  Please note, all donations, above $20.00 are eligible to receive a charitable tax receipt.

The Charitable Registration Number for Saugeen Hospice Inc., is 79270 4504 RR0001
